BIOGRAPHY

Angela Hessler has had her hand-illustrated maps published in award-winning books, collaborating with authors to create works of art that help convey the sense of place behind their stories.

She has also published illustrated geologic maps of cities through The Deep Time Institute, a nonprofit she founded for research and educational purposes. 

 

A geologist, Angela approaches each map project as a unique interpretation of landscapes, knowledge, humanity, and beauty. ​
